Opportunities for Parents 2

Want to make a difference in your home? In your Community? Take the pledge!

The SafeHomes Pledge is brought to you as part of the "Parents Who Host Lose Most" Campaign. The purpose of this campaign is to eucate parents about social host liability laws, and to encourage people throughout the community to follow them. The Springfield Prevention Coalition recognizes the importance of educating parents about these laws because whether or not you KNOW about a law, you are still subject to the consequences.

You are not alone in saying NO to minors using substance:

By pledging to not provide alcohol, tobacco or other drugs to minors, you are joining the many other parents in Springfield who are actively trying to prevent underage drinking and teen drug abuse by committing to keep their kids (and YOUR kids) safe from substances. This program affirms parents by letting them know they are not alone, and that we can rely on each other to keep our youth safe and healthy.

The SafeHomes Pledge is a non-legally binding pledge that publicly states that there will be no underage use of alcohol, tobacco or drugs in your home or on your property (whether or not you are home). By providing the names of others who have pledged this same agreement, you will know what homes are "Safe Homes" for your child to visit, and
