Christy has a masters degree in Marriage & Family Therapy and worked as a therapist for families, couples, and also teens. She has also worked as a family services coordinator for mothers in early recovery. Christy is now serving the Springfield Community at Riverside Middle School as the Student Assistance Counselor. Her interests and experience range from teen issues, relationships, ATOD education, media literacy, and personal stress management. She believes effective prevention requires a systematic approach.

Danielle is a proud and excited to be a member of the Springfield Prevention Coalition as the Student Assistance Professional (SAP) at Springfield High School. She earned her Master’s in Educational Leadership from the University of Vermont in June 2007, and has a B.S. in Secondary English Education from the University of Rio Grande, Ohio, in 1993. She has been an Apprenticed Substance Abuse Counselor and Certified Kripalu Yoga Instructor since 2006, and is curently working toward full SAP certification. Danielle has fifteen years of experience working with youth with experience as an Assistant Director of Admissions at the University of Rio Grande, a high school teacher, Springfield Teen Center Director, and Teacher of Teens/Reach Up case manager at the Springfield Area Parent Child Center. Danielle is the proud mother of an amazing twelve-year-old daughter, a fluffy dog and the world’s fattest cat. She looks forward to building relations with the students, parents, faculty and staff of Springfield High School and the Springfield Community. Her office is in the SHS Guidance Center, and she is always open and interested to meet with students.
