What is a Coalition?

A community coalition is a group of community partners who work together to solve a shared problem. The Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America (CADCA) defines a coalition as a cooperative agreement between groups or sectors of a community, in which each group retains its identity but all agree to work together toward a common goal of building a safe, healthy and drug-free community.


SPC Mission:

To collaborate with others to provide all Springfield young people and adults with opportunities to experience healthy, productive, non-violent and safe lives without alcohol, tobacco or other drugs.

 
Vision:

Springfield is a community whose people choose healthy lifestyles by not engaging in violence or the use of alcohol, tobacco or other drugs. Role models provide high expectations and clear boundaries which promote safe and healthy living in our community. Our young people are valued contributors enhancing life in Springfield.
